Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins
This healthy take on a traditionally yummy treat will satisfy your sweet tooth and fill you up with nutritious foods. The whole family will love these!

Ingredients
- 1.75 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup almond milk, or plant based milk
- 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 3 large bananas, ripe
- 1/3 cup non dairy chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350˚F and line a muffin pan with paper muffin cups or grease your pan.
- Combine all of the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl, whisk and set aside.
- In a small mixing bowl add the milk, applesauce, vanilla, and pure maple syrup. Mix until everything is well combined. Then mash the bananas, add to the wet ingredients, and stir to combine.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until everything is just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Fill each muffin cup until they are a little more ¾ full.
- Place on the center rack and bake for 20 minutes. The muffins are ready when you can insert a toothpick and it comes out clean. If the muffins are not ready bake for another 5-minutes or until done.
- Remove from the oven and allow the muffins to cool for 10-15 minutes.
